Valay Ikolson
Valay Ikolson (1999) is a New Swedish politician from Iceland. She has previously served as an advisor for the Nordic Party, and is currently running for president in the 2025 presidential election. She stands against Lobsters and promises to send top New Swedish scientists to Joliet to assist their research. She is also planning to spend more money into space exploration, as it is a largely unexplored territory.
Early Life
Valay Ikolson was born on 30 May 1999 in Akureyri, Iceland. Her parents were deeply involved in a career of visual arts. Valay, however realised that she did not have interest in art and showed interest in art at a very young age. After she started elementary school, she always went above and beyond in language related subjects (English, Swedish, Icelandic). She joined the debating team in year 4, one year before its officially allowed. At the debating team, she was one of the best that the school had ever seen. The following year she became captain of the team, winning many debates against other schools.
When she was 13 years old, she started attending high school. Since she debated for 3 years, she decided to start public speaking. After starting, she was worse initially, but learned quickly and started excelling at it. Her life couldn't be better, until 17 October, 2012 when her mother tragically passed away in a camel accident. This destroyed her wellbeing, and she started regularly skipping school and doing drugs. On her 14 birthday she got a pet cat from her mother, this slowly improved her wellbeing until eventually going to school everyday again, and she joined the high school debating team. There, she used her experience to fight for better support systems for young people. During this time she also started reading the newspaper more regularly and stated paying attention to global politics. This got her interested in becoming a politician and would pave the way for her future education.
Start of Political Career
She started university in 2018, at 19 years old. During university she studied Political Science, and she found many friends that shared similar ideologies. This caused her to start a political party in 2023 focused around science, space, and defeating Lobsters. Since then, she has gained reputation and respect from many new swedes.
Ideology
Valay Ikolson has many strong ideas, supported by her political party. Her ideas consist mostly of research technology to fight against Lobsters, furthering the exploration into Space, and to also create a better living environment for the people of New Sweden.
Science Research
Valay wants to send top scientists from New Sweden to Joliet to develop cheap technology to defeat Lobsters. Currently, most of the top scientists in New Sweden are doing science in the institute created by Shelby Archer. These science institutes have cheap equipment, and small labs. Valay aims to repurpose these science institutes as school facilities, and send the scientists to Joliet so they can do science with proper equipment in a multi-billion dollar facility.
Space Exploration
Ms Ikolson support the further exploration of Space. Space is a widely unexplored territory, as in the past only proper space mission have gone to The Sun and The Moon. Valay wants to further explore the other planets in The Solar System as she that exploring other celestial bodies would result in improved technology, and new resources or knowledge which can ultimately lead to the development in Anti-Lobster technology.
Better Living Conditions
As Valay Ikolson wants to defeat the Lobsters, many think that she cares minimally about the citizens of New Sweden. This is untrue as she has plans to create better living conditions for all. The average inflation rate per year in New Sweden is 5%, while salary only increases on average by 2% annually. Her plans to achieve this involve increasing the interest rate from the Central Bank of New Sweden (CBNS), strengthen the New Swedish Kroner by ceasing the minting of money in Albania, and further invest in education to provide more skilled workers.
