York New

The kingdom of York New is on the continent of North Illinois, it is believed to be south of Chicago. It currently holds a population of over 180 000 people. The people of York New have been able to stay so safe due to the city's defense mechanism. All of York New is underground, making the city extremely safe (despite the drilling incident of 2000). Most members of the populous have never even seen a one of the Lobsters.

History

York New is founded by an unknown business and they remained the president until the 2000s, a popular theory suggests they have been replaced 10s of times however it was no proof to back it up.

2000

In December 30st of 2000, someone using a drill ran into 6 people, instantly mushing them up and killing them. The individual was swiftly arrested, however was pardoned due to being the current "The Greatest and Eternal President"'s friend.

In December 31st of 2000, the current "The Greatest and Eternal President" was impeached by the populous due to the drilling incident of 2000.

2001

In February 2nd of 2001, Retsbol Baqwerdes was elected "The Greatest and Eternal President" of York New. This was following the drilling incident in 2000.

2025

In March 4th of 2025, Human Forewerdes (ex-member of The Secret Service) ran for "The Greatest and Eternal President" of York New. The vote was swiftly done because Human Forewerdes was the only candidate, as the previous "The Greatest and Eternal President" was empeached 8 months prior.

Appearence

While no photographs of York New has ever been taken, it is believed to resemble an upside-down city within a giant dirt box (subtly labeled "The Coffin" by many York Newians), the city is completely underground. It was walkways hanging from the ceiling with many stairs to get to places. The city uses it's verticality to its advantage.

Secession and Immigration

Secession

While you are allowed to secede from York New at any time, it is advised against. This is because the people of York New have adapted to this incredibly safe lifestyle inside of the city. Outside of York New is far more chaotic and it is rare that an Ex-York Newian can adapt in time to save their life.

Immigration

Immigrating to York New is impossible unless you were born there and is now an Ex-York Newian. This is done to preserve the secrets of York New (such as it's exact location and exact appearance). It also done to protect the city from immense overpopulation.

Leaving Temporarily

You are allowed to leave York New at any time, this could be to see friends or family, or to go on holidays. There is however a time limit on the amount of time you can be outside without being considered either dead or no longer a citizen. This time limit is 1 year. From the moment you leave if you have not been seen back inside (or talk to a government official about returning) within a year you will most likely be considered dead.

The Anti-Tomalley Act

The Anti-Tomalley Act was inacted immediatly after Human Forewerdes presidency of York New was announced. This act prohibits the use of Tomalley within York New specifically. This was due to the Tomalley Epidemic that plagued York New beforehand. York Newians that use Tomalley are immediatly sent to rehab for their use. "I believe that sending these York Newians to prison won't be beneficial to anyone, so were gonna get them back on their feet, so they can live a nice life in York New." - Human Forewerdes after inacting The Anti-Tomalley Act.
